Dina Liarostathi was born in the village of Thyrreio in Aetolia-Acarnania. She worked as an economist and is a graduate of the Borgias Fine Art & Design School. In her work, she allows elements of nature to take a leading role on the canvas. Her art is shaped by her personal, lived relationship with nature, growing up in a farming family. A defining feature of her artistic identity is the use of bold textures, the result of complex mixed techniques that she continuously invents through different methods. Symbolically, she incorporates the very materials of her subjects — such as tobacco leaves, vine leaves, and wheat stalks — to evoke a sensory response. Mixed techniques and the highlighting of natural materials are the core elements of her practice, aiming for an immediate connection with the subject she explores. Follow Dina on Instagram
