Konstantina Zompola (b. 1997, Athens) is originally from Kalamata. She is a Bachelor graduate of the Department of Fine Arts and Art Sciences, School of Fine Arts, University of Ioannina (2021), and holds a MFA degree in “Visual Arts and Landscape: Approaches to Natural and Urban Space” from the University of Fine Arts in Florina (2025).
Her painting practice unfolds as a process between the imaginary and the real, a way of perceiving and interpreting nature through the experience of walking and observing the landscape. Elements that capture her attention such as reeds, water, and trees are transformed into visual images, sometimes clear and sometimes ambiguous. Through this process, she creates an intermediate space, a condition that belongs neither entirely to reality nor entirely to imagination. The region of Prespes at the region of Florina, which served as the basis of her master studies, has played a decisive role in her work, shaping how she approaches the relationship between the natural environment, the traces of human presence, and the notion of transition to a place.
In 2025, she presented her first solo exhibition, Intermediate Landscapes, at METS Art Gallery (Athens), while in the same year she presented her Master’s diploma project, Landscapes – Limits, in Prespes. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions, some of which are, Back to Athens 12, “The Division Of Life”(2025), Sleep with Angels (Thalatta.art, Athens, 2024), Exodus Diexodus (NEON, former Public Tobacco Factory, 2022), and the group exhibition at Art Tower Agora Gallery (Athens, 2025), among others. In 2023, she took part in the Haberdashery residency, which concluded with a project presentation at Razem Pamoja Foundation Studio (Athens). Follow Konstantina on Instagram
