Lefki Savvidou (b. Nicosia, Cyprus) is a contemporary artist whose practice reflects on human relationships and the subtle perceptions of life in the 21st century. Beginning with text-based works that reflected the intersection of individual and collective experiences, her practice has evolved into a visual language where words, images, and materials are inseparable.

In her latest series, Savvidou experiments with the aerograph to create hazy, cinematic layers in a red-sepia palette reminiscent of sun-faded ’80s film. Her works evoke moments of distraction, desolation, and struggle that feel more like memories than lived realities.

Savvidou’s art is immediate and honest, seeking to reveal the hidden weight of everyday existence. Her works have been acquired by the State Gallery of Contemporary Cypriot Art, and her practice has been recognized internationally, including a Gold Pentaward in 2022. Follow Lefki on Instagram
