Panagiota Antonopoulou lives and works in Greece. Her artistic practice moves between the boundaries of printmaking, painting and installations with a common starting point the concepts of opacity and ambiguity through the combination of multiple media-materials and layers. In 2018 she graduated from the Department of Visual and Applied Arts of the University of Western Macedonia. As part of her studies she attended an academic year at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice (2017).
In 2019 she collaborated with the printmaking studio “Contraprova Atelier di Gravura” in Lisbon and participated in the artistic program “1st International Artistic Residency at Blueprints studio” in Ferreira do Zezere, Portugal. In October 2022 she completed her studies at the Master of Fine Arts of the Athens School of Fine Arts and in March 2024 she participated in an artistic residency in Soest, the Netherlands.
She has participated in several group exhibitions and in June 2024 she held her first solo exhibition in Athens. She has attended several seminars/conferences and in the summer of 2019 she participated in the organizing committee of the International Conference “Walking Practices / Walking Art / Walking Bodies” in Prespes.
