Stratis Tavlaridis was born in 1990 in Thessaloniki, Greece and graduated from the School of Visual and Applied Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Stratis is an artist who makes perforated paper installations. All his work consists of handmade papers of a few grams, which he cuts with a surgical scalpel. Through the papercut technique he paints by removing geometric and abstract patterns related to collective memory. The paper allows him to express the delicacy, movement and sensitivity characteristic of his artworks. He creates hybrids of materials that have lost their utility, trying to direct the viewer’s gaze to something simple.​ Today he lives and works in Athens. Follow Stratis on Instagram
